the computer room is on the way. for several months i’ve been contemplating and experimenting with how i interface with screens, a relatively-new dynamic that humans need to navigate to survive and create and live and be free. i admittedly have become more addicted to my phone since trying to cut back my time to 1/2 of the month. i have no structure for accountability until perhaps now—

the compute room is a digital space-in-progress inspired by the time limits my parents imposed on me as a child, when the computer was a resource shared between me and my siblings at 2-hour intervals. you had to make the most of your time.
the computer room is a digital meeting space, to be hosted on mixcloud + discord, where we meet for 2-4 hours 2x/month to work on digital projects.
i will be streaming nature livestreams as well as a view of my computer screen as a means of both accountability + body-doubling. these sessions will include ‘album-crushing’ (what i sometimes call music homework) during which i listen to albums that house songs i liked recently on the radio, or albums i’ve been wanting to check out. albums i can’t stop listening to. etc.
